Uni Emirat Arab (UEA) merupakan investor terbesar Timur Tengah di Indonesia. Termasuk yang memberikan dukungan dana terkait Ibu Kota baru Indonesia di Kalimantan.

Hal itu dikatakan Duta Besar Indonesia untuk Spanyol Dr Muhammad Najib setelah melakukan kunjungan silaturahmi kepada Duta Besar UEA di Madrid, Majid Al Suaibi, Jumat (25/3/2022).

“Diluar masalah ekonomi dan bisnis kita bicara Islam rahmatan lil alamin yang harus kita kenalkan kepada dunia. Islam yang ramah, Islam yang toleran,” kata Dubes Muhammad Najib.

Menurutnya Dubes Najib, dalam mempromosikan Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin, UEA lebih maju dibanding Indonesia. Mereka sudah mendirikan yayasan, masjid, yang mengenalkan Islam toleran dan moderat.

Mereka juga sudah mulai melakukan interfaith dialogue. Lebih dari itu UEA merupakan negara Muslim yang sangat respek, sangat memberikan perhatian terhadap perkembangan sain dan teknologi.

“Dan kami berbicara serta meyakini masa depan Islalm tergantung kepada kemampuan kita kepada pengusaan sain dan teknologi,” kata Dubes Najib.

Dubes Muhammad Najib juga mengunjungi masjid di kota Granada, yang merupakan sumbangan dari pemerintah UEA. Namanya Masjid Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Masjid tersebut berada didekat Istana Alhambra, yang terkenal sangat indah.

Karena berada di area strategis di kota Granada ini, sehingga masjid tersebut sering dikunjungi oleh para wisatawan muslim yang sedang rekreasi atau tour melihat istana Alhambra.

Masjid ini memiliki 3 lantai. Lantai pertama untuk wanita. Sedang lantai kedua untuk jamah pria dan kantor takmir. Sedangkan lantai 3 digunakan apabila ada jamaah yang lebih besar, khususnya pada hari Jumat.

“Pada bulan Ramadhan lantai 3 juga digunakan untuk shalat taraweh,” ujar Dubes Najib.

Disekitar masjid ini terdapat komunitas muslim yang cukup besar, sehingga banyak restoran yang halal.

“Saya bersyukur diterima langsung oleh Imam masjid ini. Kita doakan semoga masjid jamahnyya akan lebih makmur lagi kedepan,” ungkap Dubes Najib.
