Zonasatu News–Hasil penyelidikan Komisi Nasional (Komnas) Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM) terkait pelanggaran HAM saat peristiwa kerusuhan pada 1998 menyatakan bahwa Prabowo Subianto bukanlah pelaku.
“Hasil penyelidikan tidak menyatakan tegas bahwa Prabowo pelaku. Prabowo itu saksi, bukan pelaku dan juga bukan saksi pelaku,” kata mantan Komisioner Komnas HAM Natalius Pigai kepada wartawan di Media Center BPN Prabowo-Sandi, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan, Rabu (16/1).
Pigai mengatakan Prabowo tidak terbukti terlibat dalam tragedi kemanusiaan tahun 1998. Peristiwa kerusuhan yang terjadi ketika itu, katanya, tidak bisa diarahkan sebagai kesalahan satuan angkatan di militer.
“Karena huru-hara peristiwa 1998 itu bukan hanya di lokalisir pada tugas dan kewenangan satu kesatuan angkatan saja. Huru-hara peristiwa tersebut adalah huru-hara nasional,” tutur Pigai.
Justru, katanya, merujuk peraturan-perundangan yang berlaku, tanggung jawab ketahanan nasional ketika itu berada pada pucuk pimpinan pertahanan nasional.
“Nah, pimpinan keamanan dan pertahanan nasional itu Angkatan Bersejata RI. Itu Wiranto. Commander responsibilities peristiwa 1998 adalah Wiranto sesuai dengan hukum HAM internasional dan hukum HAM nasional Undang-Undang Nomor 26 tahun 2000,” ujar Pigai. [rmol]
