Sesungguhnya sebutan ‘kafir’ itu cukup berbobot, justru untuk menghormati yang disebut demikian. Banyak non-muslim yang tidak layak disebut kafir tapi lebih layak disebut jaahil bahkan jaahil murokab karena tidak pernah mempelajari al Qur’an tapi ngawur menolak Al Qur’an.

Seorang non-muslim baru layak disebut kafir jika pernah mempelajari al Qur’an lalu menolak. Fir’aun adalah tokoh kafir yang paling tersohor. Abu Jahal adalah tokoh kafir yang lebih kontemporer. Iman atau kafir adalah pilihan, sebaiknya pilihan sadar yang cermat. Manusia dipersilahkan memilihnya dengan semua konsekuensinya.

Sayang sekali banyak orang yang tidak pernah bahkan takut mempelajari al Qur’an. Mungkin takut disebut radikal…. tapi lebih rela disebut cebong.
