Jakarta, zonasatu – Pendiri Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia, Dr Dino P Djalal, mengatakan, Indonesia mengambil peran terdepan dalam masalah Rohingya.
“ASEAN tentu memperhatikan masalah Rohingya ini, dan dalam hal ini Indonesia mengambil peran terdepan untuk menangani hal ini. Mengapa? Karena Indonesia mempunyai hubungan yang dapat dikatakan khusus dengan Myanmar dan juga perhatian dalam negeri yang cukup besar terhadap masalah Rohingya,” katanya, di Jakarta, Rabu.
Hari-hari ini, katanya, masalah yang menjadi sorotan dunia lebih kepada tantangan kemanusiaan bukan invasi militer. “Di Eropa sendiri ini menjadi nomor satu yaitu isu mengenai imigran yang datang dari Timur Tengah. Nach di Asia Tenggara tantangannya adalah Rohingya,” ujarnya.
Mantan wakil menteri luar negeri itu mengatakan, Indonesia juga tampaknya cukup dipercaya dalam komunikasi dengan pemerintah Myanmar.
“Jadi tanggapan dari ASEAN ada dan mekanismenya itu Indonesia mengambil garis terdepan masalah Rohingya. Tapi memang untuk masalah ASEAN ke depan ini masalah nontradisional seperti ini akan menjadi perhatian bagi ASEAN yang lebih besar.
“Masalah ini sebenarnya adalah masalah yang sudah cukup lama, dan tidak akan ada solusi dalam waktu dekat karena masalah ini sensitif mengenai kewarganegaraan orang Rohingya yang masih tanpa kewarganegaraan sekitar 1 juta orang lebih,” kata dia.
Sebelumnya, Menteri Luar Negeri, Retno Marsudi, menyampaikan, pemerintah Indonesia berupaya mengatasi masalah kemanusiaan di Negara Bagian Rakhine secara menyeluruh dan komprehensif, mulai dari hulu di Myanmar sampai ke hilir di Bangladesh, negara yang dituju para pengungsi Rohingya.
“Dalam melihat suatu masalah tak bisa hanya dari satu sisi saja, tetapi harus melihat hingga ke akar masalah, hulu, dan juga dampak dari masalah itu di hilir seperti pengungsi yang berlari ke Bangladesh,” ujar dia.
PBB mengatakan, 536.000 pengungsi yang sebagian besar adalah warga Rohingya tiba di Bangladesh dari Negara Bagian Rakhine, Myanmar, sejak 25 Agustus.
Dari para pengungsi yang selamat sampai ke Bangladesh, sebanyak 320.000 di antaranya adalah anak-anak, yang sepertiganya berusia di bawah lima tahun.(antara)
