Memahami Gagasan Dr Muhammad Najib: Renaissance of Islam (35)

Poros Jakarta-Madrid-Abu Dhabi

 

Dr Muhammad Najib, Dubes RI untuk Spanyol, sedang mememperkenalkan Poros Jakarta-Madrid-Abu Dhabi. Arti penting dari poros yang dibangun ini untuk memperkuat pondasi moderasi beragama dan perdamaian dunia.

Gagasan ini disampaikan Dubes Muhammad Najib ketika berbicara dalam Focus Group Discussion (FGD) di KBRI Madrid, di Calle Agastia, Madrid, Minggu pagi waktu setempat (8/5/2022).

Ide gagasan ini didasari oleh adanya kesamaan dalam pandanan kehidupan beragama di ketiga negara tersebut. 

Indonesia dengan penduduk beragama Islam terbanyak di dunia, masyarakatnya hidup dengan toleransi tinggi, antar pemeluk agama yang majemuk hidup  rukun dan damai. Kelompok minoritas tidak mengalami penindasan dari kelompok mayoritas.

Indonesia juga sebagai negara demokrasi terbesar ketiga didunia. Sehingga Indonesia memiliki modal yang sangat besar untuk tampil di pentas global dalam mempromosikan moderasi beragama.

Sementara Spanyol adalah negara dengan mayoritas penduduk beragama Katolik. Seperti di Indonesia, kehidupan tolerasi beragama berjalan dengan baik. Kelompok minoritas juga dapat hidup dengan tenang di Spanyol.

Elemen lain dalam poros itu, menurut Dubes Najib, yaitu Uni Emirat Arab, dipandang penting karena dalam beberapa dekade terakhir telah tampil sebagai salah satu kekuatan ekonomi besar di kawasan Timur Tengah dan dunia. Disamping, tentu saja UEA sangat menghargai toleransi beragama serta kehidupan masyarakat yang damai.

Selain itu, hubungan Indonesia dan UEA beberapa tahun belakangan ini juga menguat secara fundamental.

Simbol dari kerjasama itu antara lain adalah penggunaan nama Joko Widodo sebagai nama salah satu jalan utama di kota Abu Dhabi. Sementara di Indonesia, nama Pangeran Muhammad bin Zayid digunakan sebagai nama ruas jalan layang tol yang menghubungkan Jakarta dan Bandung.

UEA juga membangun masjid di Solo yang menggunakan nama pemimpin UEA, Sheikh Zayid.

“Indonesia punya peluang besar, tapi terlalu lama low profile. Kini kita harus lebih high profile dan harus lebih proaktif, mengambil inisiatif, serta berani berimprovisasi,” ujar Dubes Najib.

Ide Poros Jakarta-Madrid-Abu Dhabi ini disambut baik oleh Ketua Komisi VIII DPR RI, Yandri Susanto, serta berharap poros Jakarta-Madrid-Abu Dhabi dapat menjadi pembeda politik luar negeri Indonesia.

Yandri Suanto mengatakan moderasi beragama bukan hanya kebutuhan Indonesia, tapi juga kebutuhan dunia. Kehadiran negara dalam isu ini sangat penting.

“Ini bukan FGD basa-basi. Ini sangat serius, membawa misi besar yang muaranya adalah politik kebangsaan,” katanya lagi.

Pembicara lain dalam FGD tersebut adalah Direktur Masjid Seville Sheikh Ibrahim Hernandez.

Ibrahim Hernandez yang lahir dan dibesarkan di tengah-tengah keluarga Islam mengatakan, pada dasarnya Islam adalah agama yang moderat. Sehingga tidak perlu lagi dimoderasi.

Dia mengatakan bahwa yang sering menjadi masalah adalah ada sebagian umat Muslim yang menjadi ekstremis.

Sekretaris Dirjen Pendidikan Islam Kementerian Agama RI, Rohmat Mulyana, yang juga hadir dalam FGD mengatakan sepakat dengan pandangan Ibrahim bahwa Islam adalah agama yang moderat.

“Makanya, di Indonesia yang dikembangkan adalah moderasi beragama atau wasatiah,” ujarnya.

Delegasi Komisi VIII dipimpin oleh Ketua Komisi VIII Yandri Susanto dari Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN) dan Wakil Ketua Komisi VIII Diah Pitaloka dari PDI Perjuangan.
