Motor Listrik Gesits Menolak Dijadikan Alat Politik

Gesits dibuat sebagai skuter listrik nasional. Seluruh komponen hingga perakitan dilakukan oleh anak bangsa.

Zonasatu News  – CEO Garansindo Group Muhammad Al Abdullah menegaskan bahwa, kehadiran skuter listrik Gesits, bukan sebagai ajang atau untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai alat politik. Apalagi menjelang pemilihan presiden yang akan berlangsung tahun depan, bisa dijadikan bahan untuk kampanye.

Pria yang akrab disapa Memet itu menjelaskan, kehadiran Gesits itu sendiri sejak awal hanya kolaborasi antara Garansindo dan juga akademisi, sampai akhirnya BUMN dan pihak swasta ikut mendukung.

Gesits adalah produk kolaborasi antara Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) dan PT Garansindo. Dalam perkembangannya kemudian melibatkan perguruan tinggi lainnya seperti ITB dan UNS.

“Kalau dijadikan bahan politik, saya sendiri juga bingung. Tetapi sudah jelas dari awal kita bukan untuk politik,” ucap Memet akhir pekan lalu di kawasan Kemang, Jakarta Selatan, seperti dilansir kompas.com.

Memet melanjutkan, secara kesiapan produksi sudah sangat siap sekali, hanya menunggu momen atau mencari waktu untuk diluncurkan. Dia juga bingung apakah harus meluncur tahun ini atau tahun depan.

“Semuanya sudah oke, bahkan kemarin juga kami coba lagi di pabrik, sudah siap semuanya. Saya percaya kalau skuter listrik ini bakalan laris,” ujar Memet.

Gesits telah diperkenalkan pada Presiden Joko Widodo di Istana Negar (7/11). Skuter listrik ini sudah melalui seluruh tahapan, sebelum dilepas ke pasaran atau dikomersialkan.

Pria yang akrab disapa Memet itu menilai bahwa, Gesits dibuat sebagai skuter listrik nasional. Seluruh komponen hingga perakitan dilakukan oleh anak bangsa.

“Saya bicara sebagai nasionalis, Gesits lahir bukan dipolitisasi, dan AISI sendiri bukan lagi asosiasi yang netral kalau menurut saya,” kata Memet di kawasan Kemang, Jakarta Selatan, Minggu (28/10/2018).

 

Memet meninai bahwa kepentingan AISI itu sudah tidak masuk di akal, terlalu banyak monopoli yang dilakukan. Dia memaklumi kalau pemerintah dalam hal ini Kementerian Perindustrian melindungi para produsen roda dua, karena investasi yang sudah dilakukan di negeri ini. Selain itu, besarnya jumlah tenaga kerja yang terjadi karena investasi itu.

“Tetapi, tolong kehadiran Gesits ini merupakan revolusi, dan kesempatan seperti ini sangat jarang terjadi. Kalau bukan motor listrik, bangsa ini apa lagi kesempatannya, yang paling masuk diakal itu hanya motor listrik,” ujar Memet.

Sebelumnya, Ketua Umum AISI, Johannes Loman mengatakan, pihak AISI sangst terbuka menerima PT Gesits Indo Technologies (GIT) sebagai produsen skuter listrik Gesits untuk bergabung menjadi anggota.

“Kami sih terbuka. Memang kami punya anggaran dasar (dan) selama itu masih di persyaratan-persyaratan kita, kita sambut terbuka,” ucap Loman saat ditemui di sela konferensi pers Indonesia Motorcycle Show (IMOS) 2018, Senin (15/10/2018).
