Saddam Al Jihad Resmi Terpilih Jadi Ketua PB HMI

Ambon ( Zonasatu News)– Respitarori Saddam Al-Jihad resmi menakhodai Pengurus Besar Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam masa bakti 2018 – 2020.

Saddam Al Jihad terpilih pada kongres HMI ke XXX di Auditorium Universitas Pattimura Ambon (Minggu 25 Februari 2018).

Kader HMI alumni Unpad Bandung ini terpilih melalui sistem voting. Pemilihan dilakukan dengan one Man One Vote dengan jumlah total suara sebanyak 191.

Berdasarkan laporan dari Lokasi Kongres, Saddam Al Jihad unggul dengan perolehan 96 Suara kemudian menyusul Ilham Agus Mustofa dengan 45 Suara dan Asep Solahuddin 34 Suara.

Sementara kandidat lain Fikri S memeperoleh 8 Suara, Harianto minda 6 Suara dan Keni Novatri Saputra 1 Suara.

Dengan perolehan tersebut maka kandidat yang juga cicit ketua Masyumi pertana R Sukiman Wiryosandjoyo ini akhirnya terpilih secara aklamasi di Putaran kedua menggantikan Mulyadi P. Tamsir sebagai Ketua Organisasi Mahasiswa Islam Tertua di Indonesia.

Sekedar diketahui, Sebelumnya ada 21 orang kandidat bertarung dalam kongeres ke XXX di Kota Ambon ini. Namun ada 5 kandidat yang memilih untuk mundur sebelum dilakukan pemilihan.

Kelimanya anatara lain Ami Jaya, Siti Aminah Amahoru, Pahmudi cholik, Harimin dan Ahyar Al Rasyid.

Saddam kini tercatat sebagai mahasiswa Jurusan Program Doktor Ilmu Pemerintahan Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri (IPDN). Dia menempuh S1 di Universitas Padjadjaran dan S2 di Universitas Indonesia ini, meraih 96 suara. Alumnus SMAN 2 Tanjungkarang, Bandar Lampung, merupakan kandidat termuda dan satu-satunya yang saat ini menempuh pendidikan S-3. (PRO1)
