ZONASATUNEWS.COM, SIDOARJO – Dalam rangka peningkatan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) beserta Lembaga Kemasyarakatan Kelurahan Purwantoro dan Kelurahan Arjosari, Kecamatan Blimbing, Kota Malang mengadakan studi komparasi terkait pengelolaan lingkungan dan sampah di Kampung Edukasi Sampah Sidoarjo, Rabu 14 Desember 2022.

Dwi Cahyono, Lurah Purwantoro, Kecamatan Blimbing, Kota Malang dalam kunjungannya mengatakan bahwa dirinya bersama-sama dengan tim lingkungan, LPMK, BKM dan PKK belajar atas keberhasilan di Kampung Edukasi Sampah, “Kami belajar untuk mengembangkan kampung-kampung tematik yang dimiliki agar bisa berkembang dan eksis kedepannya” jelasnya.

“Hal yang bisa kami pelajari di Kampung Edukasi Sampah ini adalah bagaimana mereka mampu membuat kesulitan dan kelemahan dibalik menjadi kekuatan dan perubahan, inilah yang menjadi pembeda, dan hal ini yang akan kami tiru, kata Dwi.

“Semoga kedepannya jalinan kerjasama antara Kampung Edukasi Sampah dan Kelurahan Purwantoro dapat terjalin dengan baik, saya mohon dapat diberikan kesempatan belajar dan menimba ilmu, terima kasih atas selutuh pengurus RT dan RW beserta kader di Kampung Edukasi Sampah yang telah membagikan ilmunya kepada kami”, pungkasnya.

Sementara itu Edi Priyanto, pegiat lingkungan Kampung Edukasi Sampah mengatakan bahwa sebagaimana Undang Undang Nomor 18 Tahun 2008 tentang Pengelolaan Sampah telah terjadi perubahan paradigma dalam pengelolaan sampah, yakni mengubah paradigma pola penanganan sampah dari kumpul-angkut buang menjadi pengurangan di sumber sampah dan daur ulang sumberdaya.

Pendekatan yang tepat menggantikan pendekatan ujung pipa (end of pipes) atau membuang sampah langsung ke tempat pembuangan akhir (TPA), yaitu dengan cara mengimplementasikan prinsip 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle), pemanfaatan sampah, dan pemrosesan akhir sampah di TPA.

“Sehingga menjadi faktor yang penting bahwa keberhasilan dalam rangka pengolahan sampah berkaitan erat dengan kinerja Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) yang paham betul mengenai pengelolaan sampah, baik dalam pengurangan dan penanganan sampah”, ujar Edi yang juga telah menulis buku Lokal Hero, RT dan RW sebagai penggerak perubahan masyarakat.

Edi kembali merinci bahwa dalam pengelolaan dan pengolahan sampah tak akan bisa berhasil apabila tidak ada peran serta dari masyarakat, setidaknya ada 4 kunci keberhasilan dalam mendorong pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah dan lingkungan.

“Pertama dalam masyarakat perlu adanya “lokal hero”, yaitu adanya tokoh masyarakat bisa ketua atau pengurus RT/RW atau tokoh masyarakat yang mampu menggerakkan dan memotivasi warga setempat, kedua diperlukan kesadaran dan kepedulian para warga untuk turut serta mengelola dan menjaga lingkungannya”, rinci edi.

“Ketiga adalah adanya warga masyarakat yang turut serta dan berpartisipasi aktif melaksanakan proses kegiatan pengelolaan lingkungan sehingga mempunyai rasa empati dan memiliki kepedulian akan lingkungan, dan keempat adalah perlunya komunikasi dan transparansi yang baik antara pengurus dan warganya agar tercipta kepercayaan dikedua belah pihak”, pungkas Edi.
