Langit publik Indonesia dalam seminggu ini dipenuhi oleh kebisingan soal Freeport. Pembelian saham oleh Inalum, meski dengan uang hutang, dirayakan dengan penuh sukacita.

Budiman Sudjatmiko, Politisi PDIP, lewat akun twitternya, meneriakkan pekik merdeka, layaknya proklamasi kemerdekaan. Juga Sekjend PSI menyebut “Teks Proklamasi Jilid 2”. Seolah kita baru lepas dari penjajahan. Denny JA lewat memenya merayakannya dengan gagah berani. Indonesia berhasil berdiri tegak didepan kapitalis global.

Saya menunggu teriakan yang lebih heroik dari mereka. “Kuasai Freeport 100%, harga mati !!”. Tapi tidak kunjung datang. Jadi, saya sendiri harus meneriakkan itu. Ha.. ha.. ha

Kuasai Freeport 100 %, mungkinkah? Mungkin!! Kuasai Freeport 100%, bisakah? Bisa!! Kalau mau.

Jangan lupa Bung, Indonesia itu negara berdaulat. Kita bisa menentukan apa yang terbaik buat bangsa ini. Kalau mau.

Mari menggunakan otak jernih dan akal sehat. Kontrak Karya Freeport akan berakhir tahun 2021. Kalau tidak diperpanjang melalui IUPK, pada tahun 2021 Freeport TAMAT, END. Tambang yang dikelola sejak tahun 1973 itu akan menjadi milik Indonesia sepenuhnya. Tambang emas, tembaga, dan asam sulfat itu akan kembali ke pangkuan Ibu Pertiwi 100%. MERDEKA!!

Masih belum yakin? Belajar pada kasus Inalum. Sejak tahun 1975 perusahaan alumunium itu dikuasai oleh perusahaan Jepang, Nipon Asahan Alumunium Co.Ltd (NAA). Kontrak Kerja Inalum berakhir tanggal 31 Oktober 2013. Tidak diperpanjang lagi oleh Pemerintahan SBY. Praktis sejak 1 November 2013 Inalum menjadi milik Indonesia 100 %. MERDEKA!!

Lho kok bisa? Bisa. Kalau mau.

Kenapa pengalaman Inalum tidak diterapkan pada kasus Freeport? Inilah misterinya. Pemerintah yang tahu persis apa yang terjadi sebenarnya. Pemerintah berkewajiban menjelaskan pada rakyat Indonesia. Pemerintah tidak boleh menutup-nutupi apa yang sebenarnya terjadi. Rakyat jangan dibiarkan meraba-raba jalan gelap di “lorong labirin”, berputar-putar tidak jelas ujung pangkalnya.

Tanpa penjelasan, publik akan berasumsi Freeport ini sudah menjadi semacam “kotak pandora”. Bila kotak itu dibuka, akan terbukalah kotak-kotak berikutnya. Sialnya, semua kotak itu berisi masalah.

Jangan puas dulu dengan memiliki hanya 51 % saham Freeport. Karena, seharusnya pemerintah bisa menghentikan kontrak Freeport. Dan, Indonesia bisa menguasai Freeport 100 %. Ini baru pantas teriak : MERDEKA!!

Akhirnya, saya teringat kata-kata Faisal Basri, dan mencoba memahami kejengkelannya.
“Ini Freeport punya Indonesia, nih, dibeli. Kan goblok”, katanya.
