Keluar Dari PSI, Tsamara Amany Ikut Suami ke AS, Ini Profil Suaminya

ZONASATUNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Suami Tsamara Amany, Ismail Fajrie Alatas merupakan seorang akademisi dengan sejuta pengalaman di bidang akademik dan menjadi sekarang berprofesi sebagai dosen di New York University.

Perawakannya yang terlihat berkharisma ditambah menjadi seorang suami dari aktivis politik Tsamara Amany membuatnya sering menjadi sorotan warganet. Pada tahun 2019 lalu, keputusannya untuk menikahi wanita yang berusia 13 tahun lebih muda darinya ini membuat publik bertanya-tanya.

Tak hanya soal usia yang terpaut cukup jauh, namun seserahan yang Tsamara terima dari Ismail juga menjadi perbincangan. Bagaimana tidak, Ismail memilih buku risalah BPUPKI sebagai tanda cintanya terhadap Tsamara.

1. Tumbuh besar di luar negeri

Siapa sangka, Ismail pernah mengenyam pendidikan di luar negeri sejak masih SMA. Ia diketahui bersekolah di SMA Khalid Islamic College of Victoria, Australia dan melanjutkan pendidikan sarjananya di University of Melbourne di jurusan Sejarah.

Tak hanya itu, Ismail pun meneruskan pendidikan masgister sejarah di National University of Singapore dan mengambil gelar doktor di University of Michigan Amerika Serikat.

2. Menjadi seorang profesor dan dosen

Pendidikan tingginya membuat Ismail menjadi seorang dosen antropologi dan sejarah di New York University. Bukan hanya sebagai dosen, Ismail juga diketahui sempat menulis beberapa buku dan aktif menjadi dosen riset di New York University. Ia bahkan menjadi salah satu jajaran profesor di jurusan Middle East & Islamic Studies di universitas yang sama.

3. Aktif dalam riset sejarah Islam

Buku yang pernah Ismail tulis membahas soal aliran yang ada di negara-negara Islam, khususnya negara dengan sejarah perkembangan Islam yang pesar.

Latar belakangnya sebagai seorang dosen dan alumni jurusan sejarah ini membuatnya mendalami soal perkembangan Islam di negara minoritas.

4. Punya marga yang sama dengan Tsamara

Diketahui, Ismail juga memiliki garis keturunan nenek moyang yang sama dengan sang istri, Tsamara Amany Alatas. Kehadiran Ismail disambut hangat oleh keluarga Tsamara dan juga membuat Tsamara termotivasi untuk melanjutkan studi magisternya di New York, kota yang sama dengan tempat bekerja sang suami.
