Bekasi, Zonasatu News-– Kota baru Meikarta di Cikarang, Jawa Barat mampu menampung sekitar 2 juta orang. Atas dasar tersebut, Menteri Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan mempertimbangkan pembangunan Light Rapid Transit (LRT) yang tadinya berakhir di kota Bekasi diperpanjang sampai kota baru Meikarta.

Hal tersebut disampaikan Luhut saat menghadiri topping off dua tower di Meikarta CBD, Cikarang, Minggu (29/10/2017).

“Saya kira akan bagus jadi ini akan menyerap sebagian penduduk Jakarta tinggal di sini. Nanti saya pikir pemerintah tentu akan mempertimbangkan juga untuk membangun LRT kemari,” ungkap Luhut.

Meikarta dinilai sangat menarik bagi masyarakat yang bekerja di Jakarta. Apalagi harga apartemen yang ditawarkan relatih murah atau hampir sama dengan rumah murah yang dirancang oleh pemerintah.

Sebagai informasi, harga apartemen di Meikarta yaitu Rp 10 juta per meter perseginya. Ragam tipe bangunan pun berbeda-beda ada tipe Amerika, Eropa dan Asia dengan luas 42,58 meter persegi sampai 98,29 meter persegi.

“Yang saya tertarik adalah apartemen yang luas 23 meter dengan cost yang hampir sama dengan rumah murah yang dibuat pemerintah,” ujarnya.

Dalam waktu dekat, Luhut akan menyampaikan kepada Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) dan kementerian terkait agar penyediaan rumah murah bisa lebih efisien.

“Jadi saya akan lapor dengan presiden atau nanti bicara dengan Ibu Rini bagaimana Lippo bisa bikin murah kenapa kita nggak bisa bikin murah?,” kata Luhut
