Anies itu seperti langit, karena mampu memberikan spirit. Beliau unggul dari sisi bibit, bebet, dan bobot. Kakeknya adalah seorang pahlawan nasional. Neneknya adalah pejuang pergerakan perempuan pra-kemerdekaan.

Ayahnya adalah mantan dosen di Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), sedangkan ibunya adalah guru besar di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). Garis nasabnya sangat jelas.

Saat menjadi Gubernur DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan adalah salah satu pemimpin C40 Cities yang memiliki jaringan global di 97 kota di dunia. Beliau juga merupakan Ketua Asosiasi Pemerintah Provinsi Seluruh Indonesia (APPSI).

Anies itu seperti bumi, sebab pembawaannya yang membumi. Beliau tidak merasa risih saat berkumpul dengan rakyat biasa dan masyarakat marjinal. Bukan soal pencitraan, tapi untuk membela dan memperjuangkan hak mereka.

Sulung Nof di kereta

Beliau tidak sungkan untuk makan di warteg atau ngopi-ngopi di warung. Dirinya berbaur dan bergaul dalam suasana kesederhanaan. Kadang bercerita, berdiskusi, dan mendengar harapan serta keluhan warga secara egaliter.

Ketika berjumpa dengan anak kecil, tubuhnya yang tegap-gagah tetiba melutut. Kedua pasang matanya yang penuh kasih sayang bertemu dengan kedua pasang mata penerus bangsa. Diusap kepalanya dan dicium tangannya.

Anies itu seperti gunung, karena pendiriannya yang kokoh dan perilakunya yang agung. Harta, tahta, atau wanita, insya Allah tidak akan menggoyahkan prinsipnya untuk senantiasa menebar kebaikan dan melawan kezaliman.

Beliau tidak mengemis jabatan publik. Namun saat diberikan amanah, akan ditunaikan dengan sebaik-baiknya. Kepercayaan itu dibuktikan kala melayani dan memimpin DKI Jakarta. Begitu banyak prestasi dan penghargaan yang diraih.

Saat mencabut izin reklamasi, langkah Anies tidak mundur dalam menghadapi tekanan dan rayuan. Beliau justru mengeluarkan kebijakan layaknya abu vulkanik, lava, dan lahar yang menggerus keserakahan elit dan oligarki.

Anies itu seperti air yang sangat dibutuhkan tanah air. Anies itu seperti udara yang menjadi harapan negara. Anies itu seperti kita layaknya manusia biasa. Hanya bedanya beliau lebih unggul dibanding calon pemimpin lainnya.
